GPS With Real Time Traffic

You are driving down the highway, and get lost, which is quite easy to do on today's super highways. You see on your GPS that there are two paths you can take in order to get back on track. But, what if one is packed with traffic, and the other is completely free? Is there a way to tell which one to take? Of course there is, otherwise I wouldn't be typing this. It's called the Navigon 5100, and it has the ability to give you real time traffic updates . Sounds pretty sweet to me, what about you?

The real time traffic updates are not the only thing you get from having this. You can have text to speech capabilities, which is a fancy way of saying, "it tells you the street names" and it also has lane assistant function, which tells you which is the best lane for you to be traveling in on any given day for any given trip. Finally, it has a reality view, which shows photo-realistic images of the highway interchanges, and road signs you would actually see.

Refurbished, you can get this for $99.99 on eCost.com. I suggest you get it.

Wow that is a great price for a GPS and even better if it updates in real time. I have always wanted one to just go on a road trip and see points of interest but I think the real time traffic is a really great feature especially if it can recalculate your route fast. I would like to know a little more about it though like if it costs extra for that feature or if you have to update it on a computer. For 100 dollars it’s a heck of a deal though.

that seems almost too good to be true especially at that price. i have used my parents gps going to a friends house that lives far away, and i always miss a road for some reason and it always takes forever to recalculate a new route. One main reason for my miss is because i can never get to the correct lane in time. That lane preference feature would be something that would be very useful to anyone especially if you dont know where you are going.

I have to agree with mavsoccer08 that it does seem too good to be true for the low price. I have been looking for a GPS myself for almost a year for my parents. But the cost has been the biggest factor. I read more specifications about the product and came to found out that this product has faulty recalculation for a new route and sluggish touch screen. But it also includes an excellent mapping engine, simply superb lane assistance tool and all-round excellence in comparison to the well known TomTom’s GPS. The unit also has an integrated traffic receiver, so you have the option of adding traffic updates at a later time. This might be on my next shopping list.

Navigon does have some interesting features that other GPS companies don't!
It is really true that you get this GPS for less than $100.0 while getting so many features. We had a Navigon till a month back and it was THE BEST! If you miss a turn it can recalculate the route in few seconds so you won't waste your time wandering around. Also, this company gives free upgrades so you will never have to let go of this GPS unless of course it gets stolen (like ours soon after a car accident!). You get all this and also many other options for the same price.
I'm currently looking for one to replace our old one, so I'm glad you wrote about this. Nice Work!
